Verb Ghost Oil - A Review
After using this product for over a year, I can confidently say that I love it. This lightweight hair oil provides a healthy shine without leaving your hair greasy, and it does an excellent job of controlling frizz. I like to apply it when my hair is about 70% dry after showering. A nickel-sized amount is all I need, which I start by applying to the ends of my hair. Once my hair is fully coated, I use a hair dryer to finish drying it. The result is smooth, shiny hair.
The consistency of this oil is similar to a serum, and it doesn’t feel oily at all. After applying it, your hands won’t have that typical oily residue; instead, the product is so light it essentially melts into your skin. Another plus is that Ghost Oil has almost no scent, which is perfect for me since I’m sensitive to fragrances—too much can give me headaches.
I first discovered Verb Ghost Oil through a travel-size set that included their Gloss Spray. While I wasn’t too impressed with the gloss spray, the Ghost Oil really stood out. Even though the travel size was tiny, it lasted me about three months. For those with shorter hair, a nickel-sized amount is plenty.
One of the best things about this oil is its price. At $20 for 2 ounces, it’s a great deal. I still have about a quarter of a bottle left, and I estimate that by the end of the year, I’ll have been using it for nearly two years.
The product description mentions that it also serves as a heat protectant, though I can’t speak to that aspect as I don’t use direct heat on my hair.
